Information we collect

When you create or use an account, we may collect your name, email address, login and session information, account settings, saved items, collections, private notes, reading progress, and team membership information.

When you make a purchase, we may receive payment-provider customer IDs, subscription or purchase status, access records, invoice and checkout references, and related support records. Stripe processes payment card details; KeyModels does not store raw card numbers.

We also collect limited information about how the service is used, such as searches, article progress, saves, comparisons, template previews, checkout activity, completed purchases, and download results.

• Support requests include the information you choose to send us.
• Download records may include the account, resource, secure link, result, and time of the request.
• Newsletter signups may be processed by Substack or Brevo, depending on the signup form you use.

How we use information

We use account and access information to provide your saved library, team workspace, purchases, subscriptions, and protected downloads.

We use limited product analytics to understand how people find and use KeyModels and to improve search, content, onboarding, and product reliability. Analytics events are designed to exclude raw payment identifiers, protected file URLs, and article body text.

Companies that help us provide KeyModels

We rely on trusted companies and infrastructure providers to operate KeyModels. Our principal providers include Vercel and Vercel Blob for hosting and protected file storage, Neon for database hosting, Stripe for payments and billing, Brevo for account and transactional email, Substack for the editorial newsletter, and PostHog Cloud EU for product analytics. We use Better Auth software to manage authentication and session security.

These companies process information for the services they provide and apply their own privacy and data-protection terms. The links below provide additional information about the principal providers.

Your privacy rights and choices

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your account information from your account page or by contacting us. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, receive portable data, or complain to a data-protection authority.

We may retain certain records when necessary for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. Deleting an account ends access associated with that account.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, supporting customers, meeting legal and tax obligations, resolving disputes, and maintaining security.

We use access controls, payment verification, private storage, expiring download links, and restricted administrative access to protect account and purchase information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, loss, and misuse.
